Covering Your Tracks – 12

In 1969 Jimi Hendrix played Woodstock, “climaxing with his highly regarded rendering of “The Star-Spangled Banner”, a solo improvisation which is now regarded as a special symbol of the 1960s era.”

Hendrix captured the pain of war, and the angst of a generation in his instrumental version of the song. Its not your Mom’s Star-Spangled Banner (unless your mom was at Woodstock, then it is).

We miss you Jimi.
