escaping the ordinary

etoEscaping the Ordinary is (was?) a music promotion and management collective. The main website seems to be down at the moment, but they are still active on bandcamp and facebook. ETO, as a promotional measure, released three volumes of some of the best underrated acts in indie music. 96 tracks in all, from bands like Rishloo, Dead Letter Circus, dredg, Fair to Midland, and many, many more.

ESCAPING THE ORDINARY: The act of showcasing qualities that make one unique; showing what sets one apart from everyone else. This mantra is the foundation that Escaping The Ordinary is based on. Founded in Dallas, Texas in 2010, ETO was created to be a positive hub for people to discover how they relate and differ from others. Through this site, an array of articles are posted including interviews, Spotlights, free music compilations, and more. The idea is to showcase how people are escaping the ordinary in their lives and inspire others to the same.

Since the site seems to be down, and since I saved the original downloads, I offer them to you here (vol. 1, vol.2 and vol. 3). If you want a taste, they can be streamed from the bandcamp site, or directly below.
